The 1950 Series 1 80"  car is an icon with a worldwide fan base and is considered a highly desirable and collectable vehicle. When the Series 1 first came out it had the enviable reputation of being an easy-to-maintain workhorse that could tackle the toughest of terrain.

The Series 1 80" wheelbase car has been on our to-do list for the last 3 years - ever since an Armortek customer very kindly left us his 1950 model for a couple of months and we were able to conduct our detailed R&D.

The Armortek 1:6 scale Series 1 metal kit features an aluminium chassis with steel bodywork and will be remote control (RC) capable.


 KEY FEATURES:

The Key features of the Armortek 1950 Series 1 80" car are:

- Leaf spring suspension
- Pressed steel wheels with detailed moulded T28 rubber tyres.
- Functional folding windscreen
- Functional folding rear tail gate
- Fully removable doors which can also be split by removing the top half
- Cloth roof covering

The kit consists of 260 parts including 140 unique parts.

OPTION PACKS AVAILABLE:

Option packs bring the model to life through adding Remote Control (RC) Capabilities:

The Motion Option pack adds 4 wheel drive through 2 differentials as well as servo operated steering.
The Sound Option adds real life sounds to the model - recorded off a 1950's Series 1.
The Light Option pack adds front and rear lights as well as running lights that are controlled via an RC transmitter.

Option packs are sold separately.

Please note that whilst our parts are manufactured on state of the art CNC machines, the builder can expect to need to fettle some parts - for example, filing, clear holes, deburring, etc. For this you will need a selection of hand tools. Refer to the Frequently Asked Questions above or to builds on our forum for more details.
